Series Description

Setra's Sure-Set SSC Series split core current switch provides a unique approach to calibration and installing current sensors that eliminates exposure to Arc Flash hazards while providing a fast and accurate method of setting the proper current switch set point for the application. By eliminating the need to work on a live electrical enclosure, the Sure-Set Current Switch allows installation without the need to use Arch Flash Rated Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Using the 9 position, Sure-Set Selector, the installer simply sets the selector to the rated motor HP, snaps the Sure-Set onto the sensed conductor (make sure the enclosure is not live!), connects the signal leads, closes the enclosure and powers up the system. No further calibration is required. In fact, the engineer or installer can pre-configure each Sure-Set current switch prior to arriving at the job site, making the on-site install time for the current switches even quicker. The ability to customize the Sure-Set for each job means that the installer can install the Sure-Set on a variety of different powered motors, reducing the need for any excess inventory.
